Ambassadors of Love Crisis Response Teams
Just one phone call can send support to those in need
Crisis Response Teams are an extension of our Pet Therapy Program. Such teams are offered additional training in active listening, bereavement, self care, and confidentiality.
They provide calming support to individuals after a death, tragedy, or trauma and they can be dispatched at a moment’s notice to any Coulee Region school or community agency.
How Crisis Response Teams Can Help
Pet Therapy has been proven to bring about significant physiological benefits to people of all ages and in a wide variety of situations. Our goal in these situations is to bring a safe touch, a sense of normalcy, belonging, acceptance, and a spirit of connection.
Our teams are aware that not all people love dogs the way we do. We strive to be respectful and understanding of those that have a fear of dogs and work to ensure that we give any person the space they need to relax and be at ease.
