    Hi! Do you like cuddling on the couch? Playing fetch? Going for long hikes and walks? ME TOO! My name’s Marty, and I’m pretty sure we’re gonna be besties! I’m a 40-lb 9-month old Aussie/Collie/Terrier/Basenji puppy mill rescue who loves other dogs, has had 12-weeks of puppy training, 12 weeks of puppy day care (I go every Monday to socialize with other puppy friends), UTD on all vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped! I’m basically a complete package of awesomeness, ready for a new home!

    I’ve learned a lot in the last 6 months: I’m fully crate-trained, potty-trained, and I’m THE BEST at sit, stay, come, wait, and ONLY going for my food bowl or outside when I get the release words (OK GO). I’m still working on loose-leash training, and I’m really pretty good at it so far, but I need help with heel and will pull ahead if I see a big stick, another dog, or maybe a squirrel. Like all puppies, I’m still learning how to have good manners around cats (I grew up with one cat in the house, but we’re kept separate and I stay on the leash to be safe when we do hang out). Also, I LOVE TREATS! I’m totally food motivated, so training has been a breeze for me!

    My favorite time outside is spent playing in the fenced yard, where I collect sticks, play with my toys, or have a nap in the sunshine. Inside, I love my squeaker toys and hanging out with the folks on the couch and watching TV. Nothing beats having my belly rubbed, and I love any and all attention that comes from being part of a pack! I think I would fit in really well with a family that loves to play and exercise with me, as I’m athletic, curious, and really attentive; my trainer tells me they think I’m pretty smart and would be really good at agility training.
